About this website preview
This preview does not collect account details, accept payments or use analytics. The demo runs in your browser and does not save study records. Fonts are requested from Google Fonts, which receives ordinary network request information. The app privacy draft follows; contact and final publication details will be supplied by the developer before public release.
LOCKIN OS Privacy Policy
Candidate version 3.4.44 · Updated 24 October 2026
LOCKIN OS is an Android study launcher with tasks, study tracking, syllabus tools, local PDF storage and user-selected app limits. This policy describes the 3.4.44 Play candidate. It does not describe older builds with food-spending tracking or cloud sync.
Information stored on your device
The app stores the name and exam details you enter; tasks, notes, syllabus progress, study sessions and question statistics; imported PDFs, bookmarks and annotations; alarms and settings; selected app package names, app-use durations and weekly opening counts; and channel names or handles you choose to block. These records are used to provide the features you choose.
Accessibility and usage access
Optional Accessibility access lets the app identify the foreground app, inspect visible YouTube Shorts or channel controls, and read supported browser address fields. This information is processed on the device to enforce your rules. The blocker does not save screen recordings, keystrokes, messages, passwords or payment details, and does not upload inspected screen content.
Usage access supplies app-use duration for timers and the shared daily games budget. App labels and Android game metadata are used to display installed launchable apps and identify games. These permissions can be disabled in Android Settings. The Play edition does not intercept uninstall or permission-deactivation screens. If you enable optional Device Administrator protection, Android requires deactivating the administrator before uninstalling. You can deactivate it in LOCKIN Settings or Android Device admin settings. No device-lock, wipe or password policies are requested. Limits may stop working when permission or background access is disabled.
Network access and other services
The blocker has no developer-run analytics or advertising service in this candidate. Public-topic cloud synchronisation is disabled. The optional local VPN drops network packets from the selected whole-app Instagram protection; it does not forward traffic to a remote VPN server or save packet contents.
When you use search, Lens, external links or online content, your request is sent to the service you choose. Those services may receive the query, network address, browser/device information and cookies and have their own privacy policies. Imported local PDFs can be used offline.
Optional device features
Alarm and notification permissions support alarms and reminders. Optional Do Not Disturb access silences notifications during study. Device orientation and proximity readings recognise flip-study gestures and are not uploaded. The launcher does not read SMS or automatically track food purchases in this candidate.
Backup, retention and deletion
Upgrades from older builds may retain historical food-order records in the local database for migration compatibility. The current candidate has no food-tracking UI or payment/SMS collection. Historical records may be included in a manual backup; clear app storage to remove all local records.
Manual export creates a backup file at a location you select; it may contain personal study records and PDFs. You control how that file is shared. Automatic app backup is disabled in this candidate. To delete local records, clear app storage or uninstall through Android Settings. Exported files and any backups created with older versions must be removed separately from their storage location.
A local diagnostic file may contain device model, Android version and an error stack trace. It is shared only if you choose to export and send it. No app account is required.
YouTube channel metadata
If you choose blocked YouTube channels, LOCKIN requests public channel metadata from YouTube using the channel URL/handle you add and the video ID in a supported browser address field. These requests reveal your IP address and the requested identifier to YouTube. No account cookies, message text or screen snapshots are sent. Video metadata is cached in memory for up to ten minutes. A video whose creator cannot be verified is blocked while the channel list is active.
Students and children
The app is a study tool. The developer must select an accurate target age group in Play Console. It is not presented as an authorised parental-control service, and does not claim to prevent a child's device owner from disabling or uninstalling it.
Security and changes
Android app-private storage is used for local records. No storage system guarantees complete security. Protect your device and exported files. This page will be updated when the published app's data practices change.
This policy is supplied as an implementation-specific draft for the app developer to review and publish.
